A far from uncommon sight on the Perth skyline in recent years is that of crane towers.  Here though, one working on a building on the foreshore is draped on an evening sky against the bottle like glass of the Perth Bell Tower.

The Avon Descent is on at the start of August and travelling into the Perth hills today to the Walyunga National Park revealled a bevy of eager folk unloading kayaks and readying themselves to practice some of the rapids including the gentleman in the photo.
